  • Journal Entries: Your journal entries including titles, descriptions, photos, dates, and favorite status.

  • Provide and maintain our journaling service
  • Authenticate your account and keep it secure
  • Store and sync your journal entries across devices
  • Improve our services and user experience

  • All data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Your password is encrypted and never stored in plain text
  • Your journal entries are private to you - only you can access your data
  • We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information

4. Data Access and Control

You have full control over your data:

  • You can view, edit, and delete your journal entries at any time
  • You can delete your account, which will remove all your data
  • Your data is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide our service

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use Firebase Authentication to manage your login session. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics services.

By accessing and using Simply Journal, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Service Description

Simply Journal is a personal journaling application that allows you to:

  • Create, edit, and manage personal journal entries
  • Upload photos to accompany your entries
  • Mark entries as favorites
  • Access your journal from any device

3. User Accounts

To use Simply Journal, you must:

  • Create an account with a valid email address
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
  • Be at least 13 years old to use our service

4. User Content

You retain all rights to your journal entries:

  • You own all content you create and upload
  • You are responsible for the content you create
  • Do not share, publish, or upload content that violates any laws or rights of others
  • Content must not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material

5. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but:

  • Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features

6. Beta Version

Simply Journal Web Version is currently in beta. As such:

  • Features may change or be removed
  • You may encounter bugs or issues
  • We appreciate your patience and feedback

7. Limitation of Liability

Simply Journal is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data due to technical issues (though we strive to prevent this)
  • Interruptions in service
  • Damages resulting from use of the service

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Are used for illegal activities
  • Are inactive for an extended period

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
